Artist Info:B.G., the Prince of Rap is the stage name used by Washington D.C. rapper and dance music artist Bernard Greene. Greene joined the United States Army after graduating from high school, and was posted to Germany in 1985.
His biggest hit came in 1991, when he reached number one on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with "This Beat Is Hot". The single made it to #72 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and #54 on the Billboard Hot Black singles chart.[1] He followed that up with "Take Control of The Party", which reached #2 on the dance chart the following year. This track also peaked at #71 in the UK Singles Chart in January 1992.[2] Other well-known songs by this artist were "The Color of My Dreams" and "Stomp".
Greene now works at a museum near Wiesbaden, Germany, haivng relocated there in September 2005.
"The Color of My Dreams" also appeared on the 103.5 Summer Rush: The Experience compilation album.
