Backstreet Boys - The Shape Of My Heart

Song Info:

"Shape of My Heart" is the first studio single from the American pop band Backstreet Boys's album Black & Blue. Released in October 2000, the song debuted at number-nine on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It reached number-one on the Billboard Top 40 Mainstream chart. On MTV's Total Request Live the music video broke the Backstreet Boys' own record for longest running number-one song, which was previously held by "Larger Than Life." The video spent 61 days at the top position. The song was the groups third single to reach number-one worldwide.The song also earned a Grammy award nomination during the 44th Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

On the 2000s "Around the World in 100 Hours" Black & Blue promo trip, Backstreet Boys sang a cappella version of the song every continent they landed on.

In 2008, one of the song's writers, Lisa Miskovsky, released her own version of the song, "Another Shape of My Heart".

Music Video Info:

The music video for "Shape of My Heart" was directed by Matthew Rolston from October 1 to October 2, 2000. It was filmed at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City. The entire video is shot in monochrome with a blue tint, creating a black and blue look.

The video shows the Backstreet Boys rehearsing lines onstage in an empty theater. Another set of scenes shows a man and a woman rehearsing on the stage while another man and woman watch from a desk in front of the audience in which the band sits. The characters from these scenes also feature in the scenes with the band rehearsing.
