Music Video Info:

The music video for "All I Have to Give" was directed by Nigel Dick from June 19-20, 1997 in Los Angeles, subsequently after Everybody on June 16-18, 1997. There is no inherent theme or plot, and the video basically focuses on performance in various locations and outfits. The shots feature both the band singing the song, as well as performing their associated dance for the song, including a "hat dance" segment which is a portion of the dance which makes use of the fedorasportcoat/suit jacket which are usually costume elements worn for the performance of the song. and

The video stylistically makes use of bright colors, out-of-focus elements, and transitions between shots other than the typical straight cut such as quick fades to and from black, cuts accompanied by a quick flash of white, and cutting as the shot goes out of focus or to a shot coming into focus.

There are at least two cuts of the music video with little difference between them other than the occasional alternate choice of shot. Most notably, one cut of the video contains two elements that are absent in the other cut: several shots of the band members laying in a circle on their backs in a shallow bed of water while performing synchronized motions, and one bluescreen effects shot just before the key change in which the band members all spread out from the center of the screen to form a line while doing part of the dance. Their costumes in this shot do not match any shot in the rest of the video. A limited edition of the European part 1 single was sold with an image from this shot on its cover.

Spice Girls - 2 Become 1

Song Info:

"2 Become 1" is a song by the British pop group Spice Girls. Written by the group members, Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard during the group's first professional songwriting session, it was produced by Rowe and Stannard for the group's debut album Spice, released in November 1996. It was inspired by the special relationship that was delevoping between Geri Halliwell and Rowe during the writing session.

"2 Become 1" is a pop ballad, that features instrumentation from a guitar, an electronic keyboard, and string instruments. The lyrics focuses on the bonding of two lovers, and also address the importance of contraception. Its Big TV!-directed music video, which features the group in Times Square in New York City with fast moving cars appearing around multi-coloured lights, was completely shot against a green screen at a studio in London. The backdrop was later superimposed.

Released as the group's third single in December 1996, it was generally well-received by music critics and was a commercial success. It topped the UK Singles Chart for three weeks, becoming the group's third consecutive chart-topper, their second million-selling single, and their first Christmas number-one single in the United Kingdom. In July 1997, the song was released in the United States, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100, and receiving a gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It performed similarly internationally, peaking inside the top ten on the majority of the charts that it entered.

Music Video Info:

The music video for "2 Become 1" was directed on 22 November 1996 by Big TV!, in a two-day shoot located at a studio in Old Compton Street, London.[5][14] Cinematographer Stephen Keith-Roach—who worked in other music videos such as Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity" and U2's "Discotheque"—was in charge of the photography.[14] The shoot involved the group dressed in winter coats, wandering around the studio against a green screen, interspersed with close-upcamera angles, so that the backdrop could be superimposed later.[57][58] To achieve the effect of the wind blowing slowly through their hairs, the group was requiered to lip-synch the song in double time while wind machines were on them.[5]

The music video features the group in Times Square in New York City with fast moving cars appearing around multi-coloured lights, appearing in various places around the city, either alone, with one other member, or as a quintet. The video is intercut with scenes of lovers experiencing moments of togetherness and closes with a deer wandering the streets, such a scene, according to the group's first official book Girl Power!, gave them a running gag all throughout the shoot—"Whenever anyone made a mistake it was, 'Oh deer'".[14] Sometimes the closing scene would not be shown on television due to the song fading out to an instrumental which lasts for forty seconds.

In the same book, Victoria Beckham wrote about the shoot: "I think '2 Become 1' is my favorite video. [...] It was really different to the other videos–shot entirely in the studio, with high technology and loads of effects. It was really weird having to sing passionately into the camera, I was feeling a right mug in front of all those people singing 'wanna make love to ya baby'."[14]

LeAnn Rimes - How Do I Live

Song Info:

"How Do I Live" is a 1997 song, written by Diane Warren. It was released originally by LeAnn Rimes and shortly afterward by Trisha Yearwood.

The song was originally intended for release as a single for the 1997 action blockbuster Con AirCon Air soundtrack album, which is devoted entirely to the score by Trevor Rabin and Mark Mancina.) soundtrack. Warren wrote the song for Rimes to sing. The film producers felt that Rimes' version had too much of a pop feeling to it, and requested that she re-record it to fit their standards. She refused, and the producers chose Trisha Yearwood to record the song. Her more country-style version was released on May 27, 1997 and appeared in the film. When Rimes heard of the release, she quickly released her version. (Neither version is included on the

Despite only peaking as high as number seven in the UK Singles Chart[2], LeAnn Rimes' version of "How Do I Live" spent 34 weeks on the chart, ending up as the 6th best selling single of 1998 (therefore becoming the only song to have charted higher in the chart of the year than in the weekly top 40.[citation needed]). It set a record for staying on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 69 weeks, a record it held for over 11 years before being beaten by Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" in 2009. The song entered the Top 25 Country singles sales chart on June 21, 1997 and was still there in February 2003, a record 291 weeks (five and half years) later.

"How Do I Live" was covered by F.I.R. (Faye and Real featuring LeAnn Rimes). F.I.R. invited Rimes to record a portion of the song for their third album Flight Tribe in 2006.

A cover of the song was also recorded for MS Paint Adventures, where both the song and the final scene of Con Air are frequently referenced, acted out, or parodied. The webcomic has reenacted the scene with the song on several different occasions, and one of the characters even fell in love with Nicolas Cage by watching the scene on YouTube.

The song has also been performed on the hit show American Idol, Vonzell Solomon in Season 4, Paris Bennett in Season 5, and Meosha Denton in Season 2. It was also part of American Idol Season 2 compilation, sung by Carmen Rasmusen.

Rimes' version ranks at #4 on Billboard's All Time Top 100.[3] The single has been certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA for shipments of over 3 million copies in the United States,[4] becoming the best-selling country song the date, and surpassed twelve years later by "Love Story" from country singer Taylor Swift, which certified 4x Platinum for shipments of over 4 million copies to date. On the digital front, it routinely shifts more than 1,000 units per week, for a to-date total in excess of 203,000.[5]

Celine Dion - Then You Look At Me

Song Info:

"Then You Look at Me" is a theme song from the movie Bicentennial Man.[1] It was supposed to be released as the second single from Céline Dion's album All the Way… A Decade of Song, on December 11, 1999.[2]

"Then You Look at Me" was written by James Horner and Will Jennings, who wrote for Dion her 1997 smash hit "My Heart Will Go On."

Unfortunately the Bicentennial Man movie, released on December 13, 1999 and starring Robin Williams, became a flop and the single was cancelled. The second reason was the fact that "That's the Way It Is" became a hit and was still strong on the singles charts around the world. However, "Then You Look at Me" was included as a B-side to the "Live (for the One I Love)," The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and "I Want You to Need Me" singles. The movie soundtrack also included the track but in slightly modified version, produced by James Horner and Simon Franglen. The version from Dion's album was produced by David Foster, Horner and Franglen.

"Then You Look at Me" music video, featuring Dion in a futuristic outfit and set in a robot research facility with clips of the film playing on screens in the background, was directed by Bille Woodruff and released at the end of 1999. It was included on Céline Dion's All the Way… A Decade of Song & Video DVD in 2001.

Boyzone - Father And Son

Song Info:

"Father and Son" is a popular song written and performed by English singer-songwriter, Yusuf Islam (then known as Cat Stevens) on his 1970 album Tea for the Tillerman.

The song frames an exchange between a father not understanding a son's desire to break away and shape a new life, and the son who cannot really explain himself but knows that it is time for him to seek his own destiny. To echo this, Stevens sings in a deeper register for the father's lines, while using a higher, more emotive one for those of the son. Additionally, there are backing vocals provided by Stevens' guitarist and friend, Alun Davies, singing an unusual chorus of simple words, and sentences such as, "No", "Go and make this decision", beginning mid-song, so softly, they are only perceptible with a slight increase in volume towards the end of the song.
