Wallace and Ken Ball, a songwriting collaboration that also yielded a hit song for The Carpenters ("Touch Me When We're Dancing"). Released as a single in mid-1982, "Even the Nights Are Better" first charted in the United StatesBillboard adult contemporary chart, where it spent four weeks at #1 in July and August.
