"Higher" is a song performed by British girl group The Saturdays taken from their mini album, Headlines!. Written by Ina Wroldsen and co-written & produced by Arnthor Birgisson, the song confirmed to be the mini-album's second single. Prior to its release, "Higher" was remixed to feature new vocals from US rapper Flo Rida and it is the version which was released on 1 November 2010 through Fascination Records. The collaboration came about the rapper's single "Club Can't Handle Me" beat the group's previous single "Missing You" to number one, making it the second time they had lost out to Flo Rida.
Rochelle Wiseman jokingly said that the group would never get a number one until they collaborated with the rapper but then Flo Rida personally offered a collaboration for both his and The Saturdays' fans. Critics generally praised the song as the strongest offering from Headlines!Los Angeles at the end of August 2010, using the original album version of the song. The single remix featuring Flo Rida premiered on 16 September 2010. for being infectious, catchy and feisty, although it received negative reception for overproduction.
